Flexible coupling is a mechanical device used to connect two rotating shafts while accommodating misalignment (angular, parallel, or axial), absorbing shock/vibration, and transmitting torque between them. It allows for angular, radial, or axial deviations that may occur due to manufacturing tolerances, installation errors, or operational deflections, preventing excessive stress on connected components. Unlike rigid couplings, flexible couplings incorporate elastic elements (such as elastomers, metal flexures, or springs) or articulated designs to absorb vibrations, dampen shocks, and ensure smooth power transmission.

 

Various Couplings Types Available:

  • Polyurethane (PU):Good shock absorption and wear resistance. Limited temperature range (-30°C to +90°C).
